It seems that electronics manufacturers are nearing their goal in delivering 3D technology to consumers. Of late, Sony has disclosed their very first 360-degree 3D display prototype, whereby it showed an image of a virtual pet.
Of course, the 13 x 27-cm device comes equipped with a stereoscopic, and the screen also comes with 24-bit of color as well. On the other hand, you don’t need special 3D-glasses to view the pet, which makes it pretty practical for home applications.
Personally, I believe that such technology has wide applications in the consumer market. Perhaps Sony could speed things up and begin producing such 3D displays for consumers?
