When Psystar unveiled their latest desktop solution, namely the Open (3) – it drew so many criticisms from the crowd as being a Mac cloner. However, I took a closer look at the system’s hardware configurations and I can say that it’s a good performer indeed.
Here are the hardware configurations for the Open (3) desktop:
2.8GHz Core2Duo E7400 up to a 2.53GHz Core2Quad Q8200 4GB of memory 1TB of storage 6x Blu-ray burner NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT
Personally, I think that the unit’s casing looks rather appealing, with sleek white glossy exterior. And it also comes with Mac OS as well – thus you can be sure that it offers reliability, minus the compatibility.
The starting price for the Open (3) is $599 but once you rev up the hardware config, it would cost you something as much as $2,000 – that’s still $1,000 less when compared to a high spec Mac Pro.
