When you talk about rugged external hard drives, I’m pretty sure that you must be thinking that the hard drive is built to withstand a bomb explosion. Surely enough, LaCie has certainly redefined their rugged drives, whereby the company has introduced the latest rugged safe external hard drives, which promises to offer you drop-proof storage conditions.
Generally, the drive comes with an armor-plated case, and it even comes built with a fingerprint scanner as well. On the other hand, you can either opt for the 500GB or 1TB storage option, and LaCie even entices you with the 128-bit AES encryption feature as well.
And as for the pricing schemes, LaCie will be retailing the 500GB version for $189, while the larger 1TB drive will be up for grabs at $299.
