AMD surely got one heck of a beating from Intel, whereby Intel is gaining lead over the microprocessor race. However, I believe that Acer lovers would surely be delighted to know that the Acer Aspire 5551G, 5553G and 7551G series will come with additional processor selections, whereby you can now opt for these laptops with the Phenom II X4 and X3 chips. Generally, the 5551G / 5553G series come with a 15.6 inch screen, while the larger 7551G series has a 17.3 inch screen. Also, the X3 N830 will run at 2.1GHz, while the X4 N930 series will come with a lower processing speed of 2GHz.
On the other hand, the lowest spec laptop will be retailed at €668 ($870). Apparently, these laptops are already on sale on Amazon’s German web portal, thus make sure you place your order in order to be one of the very first proud owners of these Acer Aspires.
