The BlackBerry App World has reached yet another milestone achievement whereby there are more than 2,000 programs available on their catalog now. Nevertheless, according to Jeff McDowell, vice president of global alliances, he mentioned that the number of applications available on the web portal will continue to increase steadily over the period of time.

And as for RIM, they are indeed very happy with the responses they got from the public. However, some sources mentioned that they might not be eager to raise the number of applications to more than 2,000 applications.

The milestone achievement was achieved in just 3.5 months from the launch date.
