NEC to Produce Processors for 12 Megapixel Camera Phones
Just when Samsung announced to the world that they have the world’s highest megapixel inside their camera phone, NEC unveiled their plans to produce processors for 12 megapixels camera phones. Apparently, the chips feature a linear shift-invariant (LSI) technology which enables mobile phones to shoot 12 megapixel imagery.
On the other hand, the processor will also feature other technology such as image stabilizer and shading correction technology as well.
Of course, I’m pretty sure other manufacturers would be interested in the LSI chip and word on the street points out that the samples would be shipped out as early as March 2009.

$99 BlackBerry Storm
For those who are crazy over the BlackBerry Storm, you will definitely be delighted to know that the BlackBerry Storm is now available for purchase for a mere $99.99 – provided if you agree on a 2 year contract with Verizon.
On the other hand, you can purchase this package via Amazon’s rebate-free rebate program which entitles you to such crazy deal. And as for those who are looking to shop for something rather more expensive than the $99 BlackBerry Storm, I’d suggest you to shop at other web portal.
My personal thoughts: It’s definitely a fantastic deal – provided if you enjoy using Verizon’s services. If not, then this is probably the worse deal ever and you should refrain yourself from such cheapo marketing schemes in the future.

Kindle eBook Reader
Apparently, Kindle has released their second generation ebook reader into the market and it comes exclusively with Stephen King’s novel as well. It’s pretty pricey though, it would cost you approximately $359 to purchase.
My thoughts: Spending $359 to purchase an ebook reader isn’t really that viable. I believe you can actually spend the cash purchasing something rather practical such as a netbook which has tons of better features.
On the other hand, the Kindle would be available on Amazon and the newer version has a e-ink technology which displays 20 times faster and the device boasts 25 percent more juice from its batteries when compared to the predecessor.
Here’s a snapshot of the Kindle:

Trump Entertainment to go Bankrupt?
Rumor has hit the street that Trump Entertainment would be the next in line heading towards the deadpool. If you are an avid fan of ‘The Apprentice’ you would definitely catch a glimpse of Trump’s casino, which is managed by Trump Entertainment.
Rumors has added that gamblers are staying away from gambling for this particular ‘season’ this year as the world succumbs to the painful recession. On the other hand, Trump Entertainment stock prices have fallen to a whopping 94% from its original value. To make things worst, there isn’t any buyer for Trump Entertainment and I don’t think that Donald Trump would be forking out money from his own pocket to settle the enormous bill that Trump Entertainment has accumulated over several years.
I visited Trump Casino’s web portal at trumpcasinos.com and caught a glimpse of an advertisement advertising ‘Rooms from $59’ – are they that desperate for customers?

Obama Inauguration
As the world look at their TV sets over one of the most historic moments in US history, as Barack Obama would be inaugurated to become US first black President.
Barack Obama would become the country’s 44th President and that he has also openly declared that for the first 100 days in office, his main focus would be creating 4.1 million jobs and implementing various economic stimulus plans to get the country out of one of the worse recession in history.
On the other hand, on the eve of his inauguration, Obama has in fact visited wounded troops at a military hospital and he also took the effort to visit an emergency shelter for teens without homes.
Personally, I think that this historic moment is pretty memorable especially when you look at US past history whereby the whites despise the blacks in a horrible racist past. Blacks weren’t even allowed to work in government offices, they could only hold low rankings in the military and that they weren’t even allowed to enter white diners to eat.
Little did the general public know that Obama represents the United States as the first black President in the 21st century?
Barack Obama certainly gained my utmost respect as one of the greatest US Presidents.

AMD Slashing 1,100 Jobs
Apparently, not even microprocessor manufacturers are being spared from the global economic meltdown. AMD is committed to trim their workforce by 1,100 in Q1 2009 – I’m pretty sure that this would increase the unemployment ratio indefinitely.
On the other hand, the bad news just doesn’t stop here – overpaid executives and professionals aren’t spared as well. AMD will in fact cut their salary by 20% and I don’t think that anyone would be enjoying a year end bonus for 2009.
Also, for those who were suspended in AMD’s move to slash their workforce earlier – this also apply to the 401 (k) benefits whereby this would also be suspended.
I’m pretty sure that AMD’s office will have less buzz after they have trimmed their workforce. On the other hand, I believe that this is also a great opportunity for the company to kick none-performing staff out of their company with the excuse of poor sales and recession.

Final Fantasy VII PS3
I am one of Final Fantasy VII biggest fan! In fact, I have completed FF7 so many times, I know the entire inside out of the entire game. Of course, for other fans of FF7, you’ll be glad to know that Sony would be pushing out a Final Fantasy VII themed PS3 into the market.
I was pretty glad when they were determine to create another Final Fantasy VII, namely the Advent Children, as I think that it was pretty perfect. It really fired up my passion for Final Fantasy VII and finally we got answers on what happened at the end of the first Final Fantasy VII game.
On the other hand, the Final Fantasy VII PS3 is selling for about $550 in Japan next month. It comes with the following specifications: 160GB HDD and has a ‘Cloud Black’ paint job.
Take a look at the Final Fantasy VII PS3 snapshot below. Pretty cool isn’t it?

Circuit City Closing Soon
We all knew that this was coming – that Circuit City is having one of its worst financial crisis and that the company was hinting on filing chapter 11 a couple of months back.
If you have read the latest news – things aren’t getting any better for Circuit City. In fact, management has openly declared that they will be liquidating their business pretty soon, as soon as this week, and that there wouldn’t be Circuit City anymore.
On the other hand, I’m pretty sure that this bad news is somehow a good news for shoppers. You can expect the company to hold ‘everything must go’ sale and I’m pretty sure that you’ll definitely find super bargains off their shelves.
It’s just the matter of time before you can see such sale at Circuit City – keep your eyes peeled and always read news from your local dailies or the internet!
Here’s a tribute to circuit city:

TechCrunch Cheapo Tablet PC
Apparently, TechCrunch has created their own version of a prototype tablet PC.
Their goal:
To make something under $200 that can browse the internet, play flash videos without hiccups and could perform like any other basic PCs out in the market.
Of course, they have in fact come out with something called the CrunchPad whereby it comes equipped with the following specifications:
12 inch touchscreen
1GB RAM
4GB flash memory
4-cell battery
WiFi
Camera
My thoughts: Personally, I believe that the CrunchPad is something really unique and that if you talk about mass distributing as a learning device in schools – it would definitely help students study better via technology. No more text books and assignments can be submitted via the CrunchPad. On the other hand, it doesn’t fold like a normal netbook or notebooks – making it rather durable and you can use it without worrying breaking some of the parts inside.
This is definitely a great tablet PC – I hope that for those who are in the education line, would seriously consider incorporating this technology as part of their education.

Real iPhone Air ?
Do you believe that currently Apple has actually released a folder iPhone called iPhone Air in China? I think it is the fake product. In fact, this is the best element quality of the fake iPhone Air. Why I say so? Is not because of the FM tuner, Bluetooth, camera or cover but mainly is because of the Apple logo that can glow in the dark. For those who like Apple so much, you should be aware of this fact.
Now, the entire iPhone Air terms has been tossed around become a joking manner. However, is not a joke? In fact, it's a very true and it's perhaps one of the most amazing we've ever seen. So, for those who like Apple please be aware with this when you want to purchase it.
